Welcome to Aberfan, South Wales.
Our house is situated half-way up the side of a valley, surrounded by beautiful countryside.
There are walks beside a river only a few minutes from our house, and within half an hour by car you can be in the Brecon Beacons.
If seaside is what you are looking for, then there is a choice of several beaches within an hour’s drive.
Although Aberfan is a village, we have all the shops and amenities you will need on a daily basis.
We have a Nursery and a Junior school a few minutes walk from the house and a bus takes the older children to the upper school in the next village.
We have a Doctor and a Chemist, a Community/ Leisure Centre with it’s own swimming pool and a village store, a Chinese Takeaway, a Fish and Chip shop, a Post Office, a Café and of course, several pubs.
There is also a regular bus service into Merthyr Tydfil and a train which goes into Merthyr or back the other way into Cardiff.
There is a Tesco and an Asda store in the town of Merthyr Tydfil, approx 6 miles away, and 2 huge, new shopping and leisure complexes are being built there to aid Merthyr in it’s aim to become the centre of the Welsh valleys.
Merthyr Tydfil has a past rooted in coal mining, but the mines have gone and in their place are several country parks. As a town, it is ‘coming up in the world’
How would you like to come and join it?
We have a 3 bedroom semi with a lounge and separate dining room, a new fitted kitchen, a utility room with downstairs WC and an upstairs bathroom.
We have a medium sized front garden and a large rear garden, both enclosed.
We are happy to send photos to anyone who is interested.
We are looking for a 3 bedroom house in the Milton Keynes or St Albans general areas, as we have family in Cambridge we want to be able to visit more easily. Open to offers as we are reasonably flexible on areas. |
