The house is in tip top condition, in and out, fully maintained and looked after. Light and airy, spacious and is not overlooked. The setting is in a part country side look and feel, easy access in and out to the main road and quick access to the M4, Cardiff, Risca, Rogerstone, Newport etc. Access on the M4 to the welsh valleys or acess onto Bristol, London etc.

The neighbour hood has a mixture of private and council tenants (I live next to three private houses), respectable and good friendly neighbours. We all take a pride in our houses and homes and it shows! We have a tenant and residential association and also have a local councillor who lives a few doors away that is one of the councillors that represents the area.

There is a community centre that offers many facilites to parents and children. There are mother/baby/toddler classes, keep-fit, coffee mornings, relaxation classes etc. Parents are given all opportunities within the schools to be actively involved with their children from reading and helping out etc.

The rear of the houses, just outside the rear gardens, have grassed play areas so children can play, safe from the roads and within eye contact of the parents. Walkways that are safe and secure for children. There are larger away from the houses, areas for football playing, bike riding and roller skating. There are wooded areas (lighted at night time) for cycling or walking, little brooks, and spacious grassed areas, that make walking to the local amenities, picturesque and a joy all year round.

In regards to amenities there is Asda, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Morrisons within a short drive distance, junior schools, high schools (one catholic). Local shops to inc Spa, Off licence, Beauty & Tan Salon, Hairdressers, Take –a-way etc. There are two parks within a very short drive (one is a stately home with boating lakes) and pretty pubs, and restaurants within the countryside.

In Newport, there are further shops to include a vast major development of a huge brand new shopping mall. There are cinemas, usual outlets such as retail parks to inc Matalan, Wickes, Next, Boots, The Range, Harveys' Dreams etc. You can slip into Cardiff within 20 mins (car, bus or train) and a furher wealth of shops/stores await.

There are lots of walks. Peaceful and safe. Town and city access is quick and easy. Buses are every 20 minutes on a weekly basis up until 11.00 p.m. and weekends every two hours until 10 p.m.


I have lived here for nearly 30 years. I am the first and only tenant of the house and enjoy living here and still do. We are all aware of good and bad areas and sadly this represents practically many areas today. I find it very fortunate that I and others live in a lovely area and welcome any viewing at times to suit. This way you can see for yourselves the house and the area and give you the opportunity to meet the neighbours.

I am a lady of 53 years of age and I work as Counsellor for MIND (Mental Health Care).

I am looking to exchange to a 2 bedroomed house/bungalow or ground floor 2 bedroomed flat. My youngest daughter, has taken over ownership of a new business and with her partner are looking to buy/own their first home.

My husband died just under three years ago and as I am now on my own feel I now wish to move to a smaller house.

I would like my move to a house and home that is well looked after and maintained, prefer a move to a private area, quiet and must be a lovely area - no trouble spots. I would prefer to remain in South Wales but would consider other or most areas.

The house would be ideal for a couple or a family that wish for a home that I feel would be ideal in every way.
