Our house is a solidly built 1930s house, situated on a quiet road in the village of Hadley; near Wellington. The majority of the residents are mature, making the neighbourhood a very peaceful one. We are one of only 3 remaining council houses in the road; the rest being privately owned. We have 3 good sized bedrooms; the smallest being larger than your average box room. We also have a large, secure back garden measuring 90 x 35 feet. This is currently our biggest project, having been left unloved for several years. Tall double gates at the side of the house lead onto a driveway. Decoration throughout the house is neutral (with the exception of our teenage daughters bedroom! A quick coat of paint could sort it though!) The local school is a short ten-minute walk away. The school itself is relatively new and consists of schools groups ranging from nursery to secondary and includes a special school. It has swimming and sports facilities, a café and public library. Local shops are a 5 minute walk away, as are bus stops connecting to Wellington (Market town) and the bustling Telford Town Centre; with an extensive selection of shops and recreational facilities. Trains from both Wellington and Telford connect to historical Shrewsbury, Wales and Birmingham. In complete contrast, the countryside is also accessible by a short 5/10 minute car journey. With some beautiful walks and scenery to be had. The best of both worlds! We are looking to move into Stratford-Upon-Avon to be near to my Grandmother who is becoming increasingly dependant on the family due to illness.
