Our home is 5mins away from the Co-op which is open 7 days per week and has a ATM, the new Chemist which opened on 4/8/08, a local Post office. In the village we also have 2 Public Houses and a small car dealership called Vale Motors. The nearest Petrol Garage is 10mins away on the A420 and is a BP garage with 24hr access and shop plus HSBC ATM.

We have 1 local school which takes children from reception to Year 6, after this then secondary school, they have a choice of two other schools, one of which is in Farringdon (10mins) and the other in Wantage (12mins).

Nursery classes are held in the village Hall......We also have local Brownies, cubs, Girl Guides and Scout Groups, again all in the village hall.

Oxford City Centre is 18miles away (25mins in car) and Swindon is 14miles away (20mins in car) Local Rail stations in both connecting you to First Great Western services to Paddington and the South West.

Local transport is run through the village by RH Transport and is number 67a to Wantage or Farringdon. it runs 6 days per week 1 two hourly service..In wantage service 31 or X30 (stagecoach) will get you to Oxford or from Farringdon service 66 (Stagecoach) will get you to Swindon or Oxford..We can say local transport can be used and is there, but if you have a car, you will be much better off.
