we are in a north wales coastal village called llanfairfechan ll33 we are 5 miles from bangor and 7 miles to llandudno it is a beutiful village with a lovely feel to it the beach from our house is a max 5 minute walk to a stnning promenade u can walk about 8 miles along the coastal route which runs through the bird sanctuary down at the beach area is football feilds tennis courts skate parks and play areas tea huts and an old fashioned beach hut which serves snacks and meals daily ,the village it self has 1 main street running through it which has good local ameniteis ie an off licence and video hire spar co-op haberdashery shop post office and newsagent ,we have an hsbc bank and cash point a beuty salon chip shop chinese indian take away hairdressers barbers and 7 local pubs which all hold entertainment nights karoke bingo pub quiz local bands welsh and english and are still like your typical local pubs .we also have a golf course here which is at the moment £135 for a yrs membership ,and a local siling club .
there are numerous clubs here to join including camera club hill walking croquet which we have a good green here bowls and theatre groups and drama there is also a local libary and many community programmes which all have a good intake within the village there is also a horse riding stables and garden centre ,4 churches and groups and a good dentist and doctors surgery wich have a chripody centre and spiritul healing centre too ,
the house is 3 bedroomed and is owned by conwy council the rent is £65 a week and ct £56 a month there is no water metres in this area and is about £45 a month there is 2 large bedrooms and 1 smaller bedroom all of a good size a bathroom living room dining room it was 2 rooms but we have knocked it in to one and a kitchen the house is in quite good decorative order and we are still doing work to the house now all bedrooms are in good conditon as is the living room which we have just finished and the kitchen but the bathroom and hall still need to be done they are however not in a bad state and are in good clean conditon however we have been holding off on the bathroom as there is to be new kitchens and bathrooms installed here in 2009 april as in this area there is only 3 council properties left we are in a one way street road of 15 houses which are predominattly older ppl most have been here since the houses have been built 30 years ago there are only about 6 children in the strrat so a very quiet street but nice freindly neighbours we have a back and front side garden there is no driveway but ample parking due to position of house right outside the house ,we are about 45 mins to cheter 1 hr to liverpool and about 1 1/2 to manchester we are close to the a55 express way which is the main road in and out of north wales we are also 20 mins to the port of holyhead which takes u to ireland a day trip as a foot passenger is average £12 for a car and 4 passengers it is about £82 for an overnight stay we are not far from either manchester or liverpool airports and have local taxis in the village that do good rates to eithr airports im not sure if u need to know about schhols but the 2 lower schools are here in the village and he high school is in conwy which free paasses are supplied we have all local and the usuall high street shops in either bangor or llandundo and we have a good bus service from the village to both usually every 20 mins must strees the last bus is about 12 midnight though .
the loacl towns of llanberis and betys a coed are near by which are located in the snowdonia national park which are about a 20 min drive and obvioussly the snowdnia mountain which is a must to climb just for the view ,
we have been here for 5 years now an we came here for a slow down in life while the kids were little but as the kids are growing up we are misssing the bright lights as i used to live in london ,im scotish origanally and i though moving here would be a problem with the language however they all speak english welsh is a second language only if u need any more info and are intrseted at all please let me know and i will endevour to find any info that u may need thanks claire ive sent a link for some pics i have but if u need more just let me know thanks claire xxx we are looking for 3 bed or more if possible most london areas preferablly house only with garden
